This question has never been asked from me; however it certainly has been implied. We all want to reach new levels of performance and achieve our goals. It would also make sense that the sooner we can get there, the better. Here is the problem. With our fast paced pursuit to achieve, the details sometimes fall through the cracks. There may be a burst of short-term improvement, but without proper training there will be no consistency. The best in any field are respected for being the best for long periods of time. The only way to do that is to master your skills. Mastering skills requires dedication to the long-term achievement. Don’t get me wrong. If there are things that will benefit your training to make you better, faster, than go ahead. The problem is with the mindset of quick achievement without mastery. This mentality creates incomplete work ethic, sloppy execution, and the search of achievement outside the individual. The shortcut is to believe in your plan and do it everyday. You will be a true achiever who will be able to do it for years to come.
