I pride myself on helping others perform better under pressure. I work with athletes and business professionals to block out distractions and focus when it matters most. With all my training and experience I was not prepared for what happened in my life. My mother passed away August 10th from complications from cancer. Her passing has taught me about putting things in perspective and that sometimes striving all the time to be the best is no the way to live life. She was an example of unconditional love, service to others, and how to stay present.

I found myself trying to perform my job even though my thoughts were with my mother. I don’t have the answer of how to perform at the highest level when tragedy strikes. I do know that honoring my mother’s life makes me live today at a higher level because as she taught me today is all we have.
