Working with athletes a common issue arises that they will not compete until they are ready. How they define ready is quite interesting. Most of the time these athletes are perfectionist who are waiting for their mechanics to be just right before they venture out in the competitive arena. Guess what, the mechanics will never be perfect. Learn to play your best despite less than perfect mechanics. I teach that your mindset that you go out to competition with is more important than the physical skills. Train yourself to be focused, confident, and relaxed to perform at your best. Perfect never comes, however being ready mentally can be accomplished. What are you waiting for? Now is the time to compete and learn to thrive under imperfect conditions. That’s the same in life and business. You can’t control everything and it will never be the perfect time. You are ready now!
